Gerwyn Price survived three match darts to beat Jonny Clayton in a final-leg thriller at the World Grand Prix. Price battled back from two sets down at the Mattioli Arena, winning six of the next seven legs to level before Clayton missed three match darts in the decider. Price will face Nathan Aspinall in the semi-finals.
James Wade emphatically dumped out third seed Gian van Veen, dropping only one leg in a one-sided victory. Luke Humphries, the tournament favourite after Luke Littler's early exit, has yet to lose a set after brushing aside Niels Zonneveld 3-0.
Nathan Aspinall fired a 105.15 average — the fourth highest in World Grand Prix history — during a straight-sets win over Ryan Joyce. "I'm really happy with that performance," Aspinall told Sky Sports. The semi-finals are set: Price vs Aspinall and Wade vs Humphries.
