NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore has died at age 25 in what authorities suspect was suicide. The former Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings player was found dead Saturday at his home in New Albany, Indiana, with an autopsy scheduled for Sunday.

Moore, a second-round pick from Purdue in the 2021 NFL Draft, had his career derailed by injuries after showing early promise. He spent three seasons with the Cardinals before being traded to the Falcons in 2024, though he missed that entire season with a knee injury. After signing with the Vikings in March 2025, he suffered another preseason knee injury that sidelined him for a second consecutive year.

Tributes poured in from across the NFL community, with Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell calling Moore "a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man" who was "disciplined, dedicated and resilient" despite facing multiple setbacks. The Cardinals described him as "a complete joy to coach" and "the ultimate competitor." Moore's college career at Purdue was stellar, earning first-team All-American honors in 2018 and winning the Paul Hornung Award as the most versatile player in college football.
