Former Indianapolis Colts standout Ryan Kelly announced his retirement from the NFL at age 32 after a decade-long career. The six-time documented concussion survivor spent his final season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025 before stepping away from the game.

Kelly, the No. 18 pick in the 2016 draft, accumulated 129 starts and earned four Pro Bowl selections. His career included a second-team All-Pro honor in 2020, establishing him as one of the league's premier centers during his prime years with the Colts.

His retirement creates $8.4 million in salary cap space for the Vikings, who were already facing financial constraints with roughly $43 million over the NFL's $301.2 million cap for 2026. The team had hoped Kelly would anchor their offensive line for multiple seasons after waiving Garrett Bradbury, but his injury history ultimately cut short that plan.
