Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson is looking to Hearts' Scottish Premiership title challenge for inspiration as he aims to guide the Dons back into the top six. Aberdeen finished ninth last season and have struggled in the bottom half for three of the last five years.

Their Premiership opener is at home against Hearts on Saturday, live on Sky Sports. Robinson believes Hearts' ability to challenge the Old Firm shows that other top-flight clubs can be competitive. "It inspires everyone," he stated.

Robinson, who took over in March, has made 11 signings as he prepares for his first full season. His immediate goal is to establish Aberdeen as a top-six side, emphasizing the need for stability and consistency. He acknowledged the club's recent struggles, calling bottom-half finishes "unacceptable for a club this size."
