Yurav Premlall claimed a maiden DP World Tour title with a 14-shot victory at the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship. The South African extended his dominance at Real Club de Golf El Prat by shooting a course-record 63 in the third round, then added another 63 in the final round to finish 28 under par. His performance nearly matched Tiger Woods' historic 15-shot winning margin at the 2000 US Open.

Premlall seized control early with six birdies in his first nine holes on Sunday. Back-to-back birdies from the 12th moved him 14 strokes ahead of Woods' record. A bogey at the 13th halted his charge, but he responded with birdies at 17 and 18 to secure the second-largest victory margin in DP World Tour history, defeating compatriot Shaun Norris.

The victory caps a challenging period for Premlall, who worked hard through recent struggles to reach this position. Elsewhere, former Ryder Cup player Chris Wood secured an emotional maiden HotelPlanner Tour title at the Italian Challenge Open, signing for a bogey-free 66 to win by one shot. Wood's triumph marks a significant comeback after form and injury issues.
