Jordan Gumberg claimed his second career DP World Tour victory at the Hainan Classic, edging out Jorge Campillo by a single stroke in a dramatic finish. The American, who secured his tour card last season via a final-hole eagle at the Genesis Championship, closed with a 70 to finish 19-under-par, while Campillo’s birdie attempt on the final hole fell short. The pair traded leads throughout the final round, with Gumberg’s birdie at the sixth and Campillo’s at the eighth creating a tense back-and-forth battle.

Though Campillo briefly took the lead, back-to-back bogeys on the back nine sealed Gumberg’s win. England’s Marcus Armitage finished tied for third at 15, with Euan Walker and Thriston Lawrence sharing sixth. The Hainan Classic, part of the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing, sets the stage for the upcoming Hero Indian Open in New Delhi.
