Cameron Norrie's Rotterdam Open campaign ended in the second round as he lost to Australian qualifier Christopher O'Connell in a hard-fought match. The British No 2, fresh off a straight-sets win over Roberto Bautista Agut, fell 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 to the world No 119 after failing to convert a 3-1 lead in the opening set.

Meanwhile, Victoria Mboko produced a stunning upset at the Qatar Open, saving a match point to defeat world No 6 Mirra Andreeva 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5). The 19-year-old's victory marks her third career top-10 win and secures her place in the WTA 1000 quarter-finals. In other Rotterdam action, Stan Wawrinka continued his farewell season with a 6-4, 6-3 win over 17-year-old Dutch lucky loser Thijs Boogaard.

Off the court, Novak Djokovic withdrew from next week's Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha citing fatigue. The 38-year-old was scheduled to make his first appearance since losing the Australian Open final to Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic, who owns a 15-3 tournament record in Doha, will instead rest before the North American swing, with his next scheduled event being the Indian Wells Masters.
