Marc Skinner has left his role as Manchester United Women head coach after 5 years in charge. He signed a new two‑year contract last summer before guiding United to fourth place in the Women’s Super League last season, missing European qualification.

During his tenure he reached three consecutive Women’s FA Cup finals, winning the trophy in 2024 – United’s first major honour. He also took the club to the WSL runners‑up spot in 2023, Champions League quarter‑finals and a League Cup final.

A club statement thanked him for his professionalism, commitment and dedication, wishing him success. He departs just over a month before United’s first WSL game on 4 September against London City Lionesses, a tricky start that also pits them against Chelsea and Arsenal in the opening matches.
