Sources in France have told Sky Sports News that despite Kone attracting attention from clubs around Europe, United are currently leading the race for his signature, though any suggestion of a move being imminent for the 25-year-old is premature.

Man Utd are not in a rush to move for either midfielder, with the duo part of a long list of targets as the club determine the best option while also looking at other areas to reinforce. United have already signed two midfielders this summer with the arrivals of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa and Andrey Santos from Chelsea for a combined £85m.
