Inter Milan have agreed a £30m deal to sign England defender Djed Spence from Tottenham, including a 10% sell-on clause. The full-back traveled to Italy for a medical as negotiations concluded.

Spence starred at the World Cup but faced limited opportunities at Spurs behind Pedro Porro and other left-back options. Inter pursued him after failing to sign Moussa Diaby. Spence had three years left on his contract but was keen to return to Italy after a successful loan at Genoa in 2024.

Spurs signed Spence from Middlesbrough for up to £20m in 2022. Mark McAdam notes Spurs are getting more than double their investment but may feel it's low for a key player. The club is already preparing replacements.
