Inter Milan have completed the signing of England full-back Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported fee of around 30m euros (£25.6m). The 26-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Serie A champions, becoming the second England international to join the club this summer following John Stones' arrival from Manchester City.

Spence confirmed the move earlier on Saturday by posting an emotional farewell message to Spurs supporters across his social media accounts. He wrote: "A special chapter comes to an end... Time for a new chapter now, but Spurs will always have a place in my heart."

During his time at Tottenham, Spence made 85 appearances across all competitions after joining from Middlesbrough in 2022 for an initial £12.5m. He played in all eight of England's World Cup matches this summer as the team finished third. However, with Pedro Porro establishing himself as first-choice right-back and Andy Robertson brought in from Liverpool, Spence's departure was expected.

This marks Spence's second spell in Italy, having previously spent six months on loan at Genoa in 2024.
