Police Scotland has confirmed that several athletes are "unaccounted for" following the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Ugandan news outlet NBS Sport reported that four members of Uganda's boxing team did not rejoin their delegation for the scheduled return to Uganda on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated, "Police Scotland has received reports of several athletes who are unaccounted for. Inquiries are ongoing to assess the circumstances, and early engagement is taking place with the Home Office."

Commonwealth Games chief executive Phil Batty mentioned that nearly 3,000 athletes from 74 nations were welcomed, emphasizing close collaboration with Police Scotland, Border Force, and UK visas and immigration to ensure compliance with regulations. The Home Office indicated it would take appropriate action if immigration law breaches are identified and highlighted its policy regarding asylum cases.
