Opposition is mounting, with Concacaf and the Asian Football Confederation rejecting the FFE. Combined with UEFA's 55 member associations, 143 federations oppose the plan, exceeding Infantino's 106 required votes. A boycott could severely impact the Women's World Cup, excluding top European teams and diminishing the tournament's prestige and commercial value. The women's game, heavily reliant on the World Cup for financial growth, cannot afford this political struggle.
