Denver Summit FC has finalized the transfer of forward Yazmeen Ryan and midfielder Delanie Sheehan from the Houston Dash, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed. Ryan and Sheehan arrived in Houston from Gotham FC ahead of the 2025 NWSL season and were central to the Dash's rebuilding strategy.

Ryan contributed four goals and three assists in 24 games last season, earning semi-regular USWNT call-ups with 16 caps and two goals. She also won the NWSL title with Portland Thorns in 2022. Sheehan started 25 games, scoring once and adding two assists. The Dash's preseason opener saw Ryan come off the bench, with coach Fabrice Gautrat citing rotation management and the potential game-changing impact of substitutes, noting nine of Houston's 27 2025 goals came from subs.

Denver's first franchise game was a 2-1 loss to Bay FC.
