Angel City FC snapped up United States national team forward Ally Sentnor from the Kansas City Current for $850,000. The move marks the player’s second transfer in less than a year, after arriving in Kansas City in August. Sentnor has already scored seven goals in 23 international caps, cementing her place in the squad today.

Sentnor’s contract expires end of the year, so Angel City secured her services before the roster freeze on October 8. The fee ranks second only to Jaedyn Shaw’s $1.25 million move to Gotham FC, making it the second‑highest intra‑league transfer in NWSL history. The deal also spreads payments over three years to solidify their midfield strategy for 2026.

During the season, Sentnor tallied two goals and two assists in 12 games for Kansas City, operating mainly as a center forward but also capable on the wing or as a No. 10. Utah originally drafted her with the first overall pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft, the last college draft before the new CBA abolished all drafts rules.

Angel City also traded midfielder Kennedy Fuller to Bay FC for $520,000 and fired head coach Alexander Straus earlier this week. The club’s aggressive roster moves signal a push to rebuild a title‑contending squad. With the secondary transfer window opening July 14, Angel City can still maneuver before the October 8 roster freeze for recovery.
