The New Jersey Devils announced that they signed veteran forward Anthony Mantha to a two‑year contract worth $9.5 million. Mantha will earn $5.4 million in 2026‑27 and $4.1 million next season.

Mantha, 31, had a career‑best season in Pittsburgh with 33 goals and 64 points, averaging 15:11 of ice time per game on coach Dan Muse’s third line.

The 6‑ft‑5, 240‑lb forward began his career with the Detroit Red Wings (No. 20 pick of the 2012 draft), then played for Washington, Vegas, Calgary, and had a season‑ending ACL injury after 13 games with the Flames. He will start his 12th NHL season with the Devils.

Mantha brings 179 career goals, Stanley Cup playoff experience from Washington, Vegas, and Pittsburgh, and international play with Canada, earning a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships.

The deal adds veteran presence and offensive firepower to a Devils roster looking to improve. He is expected to contribute both on the power play and as a net‑feed. His playoff experience will be valuable as the Devils chase postseason success.
