The Seattle Seahawks are bringing back cornerback Josh Jobe on a three-year, $24 million contract, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Jobe, 27, emerged as a reliable No. 2 corner for Seattle's league-best scoring defense after joining the team in 2024. His strong coverage metrics included allowing just 5.4 yards per target and a 47.7% completion rate last season.

Jobe's journey to this contract is remarkable - he went undrafted out of Alabama in 2022 before spending two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. After being waived in 2024, he joined Seattle's practice squad and worked his way into a starting role. By September 2025, he had overtaken Riq Woolen as Seattle's No. 2 corner.

Despite intercepting only one pass during the regular season, Jobe's advanced metrics ranked among the NFL's best. His 71.1 passer rating allowed was fifth-best among qualified cornerbacks. The Seahawks' decision to retain him reflects their confidence in his coverage skills and his importance to their defensive success.
