Multiple players were pulled from Thursday's joint practice between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants after throwing punches or engaging in physical altercations during a fight-filled workout at the Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Dolphins offensive tackle Austin Jackson and Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor were among those taken off the field, each replaced for at least a series. Quarterback Jameis Winston was also removed for a couple plays after being involved in a scrum. Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley had warned before practice that any player who threw a punch would be ejected, stating he'd be "very, very disappointed" if it came to that.

Scuffles occurred moments apart on both fields, with Giants coach John Harbaugh and Hafley shuffling between fields to break them up. Jackson threw a punch at Giants rookie linebacker Arvell Reese and was immediately shoved to the ground by Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux. In adherence to Hafley's rules, Jackson was removed from team drills and replaced by Caedan Wallace, though he returned during the final period.

Despite the chaos, both coaches deemed the practice productive. "I think we leave the practice a better team than when we came in," Harbaugh said. The Giants' outside linebacker Brian Burns declared his unit "dominant," while quarterback Jaxson Dart had one of his best summer practices, connecting consistently with tight end Isaiah Likely.
