NFL owners will vote on a succession plan that gives Silver Lake co-CEO Egon Durban the option to purchase a majority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders from longtime owner Mark Davis, according to sources. The vote, scheduled for the league meeting starting March 29 in Phoenix, would establish a framework for future ownership transition while maintaining Davis's current control.

Under the proposal, Davis would sell approximately 7% of the team to Durban and limited partner Michael Meldman, valuing the franchise at nearly $10 billion. The league's Finance Committee has already approved the option agreement with Durban, who currently owns 7.5% of the team. Four sources confirmed that owners will consider both the succession option and the partial ownership sale during the annual meeting.

The Davis family has owned the Raiders for over five decades, with Mark Davis inheriting the team from his father Al Davis in 2011. Since then, the franchise has struggled with just two winning seasons and no playoff victories. Davis moved the team from Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020, and in 2024 sold 5% to Tom Brady in a move that has yet to produce on-field success.
