They estimate the draft would generate between $100 million and $200 million in regional economic impact, energizing downtown and boosting hospitality. The league has transformed the draft into a major offseason spectacle.

This year's draft in Pittsburgh drew a record 805,000 fans and 13.2 million viewers. Weather in late April remains a consideration, but MSE was asked to "lean into" the stadium. The 2027 draft is set for Washington, D.C. The expected Minneapolis selection continues the event's trend of rewarding cities with modern, downtown venues capable of hosting massive crowds.
