Mexico City also garners support, with a metro population of 21.8 million and a manageable travel distance of 990 miles from the nearest NFL city, the Cowboys. The city hosted games from 2016 to 2022 and will host games at Banorte Stadium from 2026 to 2028. An NFC executive said, "Travel is the biggest impediment, and Mexico is a manageable trip."

While both cities have positives, obstacles remain, such as travel logistics and stadium conditions. The NFL's commitment to international play is clear, but settling on a full-time location will require careful consideration of all factors.
