The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have secured two veteran free agents with two-year contracts worth a combined $31 million, sources told ESPN. Running back Kenneth Gainwell agreed to a $14 million deal while linebacker Alex Anzalone signed for $17 million, with contracts becoming official when the new league year begins Wednesday.

Gainwell, 26, earned team MVP honors for the Steelers last season after leading the team with 73 receptions and 1,023 yards from scrimmage. The former fifth-round pick by the Eagles had eight touchdowns and was a primary kick returner, averaging 24.3 yards on 26 returns. His addition provides the Buccaneers with a versatile pass-catching back who can contribute immediately.

Anzalone, entering his ninth NFL season, has been a consistent starter since joining the Lions in 2021. Last season, he logged the team's second-most tackles (95) and was voted a team captain for the fifth consecutive year. The nine-year veteran brings leadership and experience to Tampa Bay's defense after previously playing for the Saints and Lions.
