Apple's iOS 26.4 beta introduces an Average Bedtime metric to the Health app's Sleep section, providing users with a two-week average of their bedtime patterns alongside existing sleep duration tracking. The update displays both your actual bedtime and typical bedtime under a new Sleep Highlight, offering deeper insights into how bedtime habits affect sleep quality.

In the same update, Apple has restored blood oxygen level visibility in the Health app's Vitals graph after a lengthy legal battle with Masimo. The metric now appears on the daily line graph overview, though it remains accessible only through iPhone readouts rather than direct Apple Watch display. This change follows Apple's August 2025 workaround that re-enabled blood oxygen sensing on Apple Watch models while the patent dispute continues.

The update is currently available to developers and public beta testers, with a full public release planned for spring. These refinements demonstrate Apple's ongoing commitment to expanding health monitoring capabilities despite regulatory challenges, while also enhancing the granularity of sleep tracking data available to users.
