The Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement on a new three-year contract with tight end Dawson Knox, keeping the seven-year veteran with the team through the 2028 season. The deal comes as the Bills navigate a challenging salary cap situation, with Knox originally set to count $17.1 million against the cap in 2026.

Knox, who was drafted by the Bills in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft, has developed into a crucial part of Buffalo's offense both as a blocker in the run game and as a receiving target for quarterback Josh Allen. The 29-year-old tight end expressed his desire to remain with the team and continue working with tight ends coach Rob Boras, who has been promoted to run game coordinator this offseason.

Last season, Knox ranked third on the team in receiving yards with 417 and tied for second in touchdown receptions with four. The new contract secures Buffalo's tight end room for 2026, joining first-round pick Dalton Kincaid and fifth-round selection Jackson Hawes. This marks the latest offensive re-signing for the Bills, following center Connor McGovern's four-year extension.
