Linebacker Arnold Ebiketie has agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth a maximum of $7.3 million, his agent confirmed to ESPN. The deal includes $4.3 million in guaranteed money, providing the Eagles with a proven pass-rusher to replace Jaelan Phillips, who signed with the Carolina Panthers earlier in free agency. The 27-year-old Cameroonian, who struggled for sacks in 2025 with just two, remains a top-tier edge defender according to Next Gen Stats, ranking 10th in quarterback pressure rate (16.4%) among players with at least 150 pass-rush snaps.

His 2024 season with the Falcons saw him lead the team with six sacks before the team's defensive overhaul, which included drafting Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr., and signing Leonard Floyd in 2025. Under new coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, the Falcons set a franchise record with 57 sacks in 2024, a performance Ebiketie contributed to as a key complementary player. Ebiketie's signing addresses a critical need for the Eagles' defense, strengthening their pass rush depth after losing their primary edge rusher.
