The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Indianapolis Colts defensive end Samson Ebukam to a free-agent contract, his agent Cameron Foster confirmed to ESPN. The 30-year-old edge rusher struggled in his lone season with the Colts, managing just two sacks after recovering from a torn Achilles.

Ebukam's production dipped significantly in 2025, playing only 43% of defensive snaps. Despite the limited action, he recorded five tackles for losses and 22 solo tackles, ranking among the team's top defensive linemen in those categories. His recovery from the Achilles injury proved slower than expected, preventing him from matching his 2023 career year.

The 2017 fourth-round pick brings eight NFL seasons of experience to Atlanta, including his breakout years with the Los Angeles Rams where he accumulated 35 career sacks, 11 forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries. The Falcons are betting on his veteran presence and pass-rushing ability to bolster their defensive front.
