The Phoenix Suns are upgrading the exterior of their arena ahead of the 2027 NBA All-Star Game. The team announced Tuesday it is installing a massive LED display on the outside of Mortgage Matchup Center measuring 226 feet wide by 41 feet tall, making it the largest transparent display of its kind among NBA and WNBA arenas. The multimillion-dollar project is expected to be completed by September.

CEO Josh Bartelstein emphasized that the display is not solely for All-Star weekend but aims to become a downtown Phoenix landmark where fans can watch highlights, game previews, and gather for watch parties. He noted that owner Mat Ishbia consistently pushes for improvements that enhance the fan experience, especially given the team's ongoing 209-game sellout streak dating back to 2021.

Phoenix is set to host the All-Star Game for the fourth time and first since 2009. Ishbia previously made headlines in 2024 with a $100 million practice facility for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury. Bartelstein stated that the organization is focused on making the upcoming All-Star Game the best yet, with attention to detail across all fan touchpoints.
