Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry acknowledged his return from persistent right knee issues will be delayed further, telling ESPN he hasn't yet advanced to court work. The two-time MVP has missed 10 consecutive games with patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly known as runner's knee, which causes swelling and pain around the kneecap.

Initially expected to return after the All-Star break, Curry experienced a setback during a workout and required 10 days without court activity. The team will provide an official status update Sunday, but Curry is expected to miss at least several more games. Golden State fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 129-101 in his absence, dropping to 31-29 and firmly planted in the eighth seed.

Curry emphasized the importance of stacking good days in his recovery, expressing hope to return "sooner than later." With Jimmy Butler out for the season following an ACL tear and Kristaps Porzingis sidelined by illness, the Warriors face mounting injury challenges as they eye the Play-In tournament. Curry stressed the need to avoid lingering issues that could worsen as the team prepares for a sprint to the playoffs.
