Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry received encouraging news as his latest MRI on his right knee came back clean, sources told ESPN. The scan showed no structural damage despite Curry experiencing persistent pain and swelling that has kept him out of action. The team is officially diagnosing the issue as patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly known as "runner's knee."

Curry missed the Warriors' game against the Boston Celtics and his return timetable remains uncertain. The two-time MVP had been optimistic about returning after the All-Star break, but the pain and swelling have continued to flare up during individual workouts. Coach Steve Kerr expressed disappointment that Curry wasn't ready to participate in a live scrimmage, noting that the injury remains "a little nebulous" in nature.

The knee problems first surfaced during an individual workout in Minneapolis on January 24. Curry attempted to play through the discomfort for several games before the team decided to shut him down for recovery. With Curry sidelined, the Warriors face challenges maintaining their position in the competitive Western Conference standings as they navigate this latest setback with their franchise player.
