New York Knicks guard Miles McBride returned to action Sunday after missing over two months with a core injury. The 24-year-old was activated for the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, marking his first appearance since February following hernia surgery. Knicks head coach Mike Brown said McBride will be under a minute restriction as he works his way back.

McBride started 14 games this season and has been shooting a career-high 42 percent from 3-point range on nearly seven attempts per game. He's averaging 12.9 points, also a career best, in 35 appearances. Before the hernia surgery, McBride missed three weeks with a high ankle sprain in December but played some of his best basketball upon returning.

The Knicks went 20-8 in the 28 games McBride missed, including a seven-game winning streak snapped Friday in Charlotte. With the Knicks' bench production being inconsistent, McBride's return provides a boost through his on-ball defense and 3-point shooting. New York entered Sunday ranked ninth in 3-point makes and fourth in 3-point percentage.
