The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New York Knicks 103-100 despite losing two key players to injuries during Wednesday night's game at Madison Square Garden. Alex Caruso suffered a left hip contusion after diving for a loose ball, while Isaiah Hartenstein exited with left calf tightness midway through the fourth quarter. Both injuries add to the Thunder's already extensive injury list this season.

Caruso went up for a loose ball with 4:05 remaining in the third quarter and landed awkwardly, clearly showing pain before leaving for the locker room. Hartenstein, who has already missed 16 games this season due to left calf issues, played only 17 scoreless minutes against the Knicks before his injury. Coach Mark Daigneault indicated both players would be evaluated the following day.

Despite the injury setbacks, Oklahoma City extended their lead over the San Antonio Spurs for the top seed in the Western Conference to 3.5 games. The victory was powered by strong performances from Chet Holmgren (28 points, eight rebounds) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (26 points, eight assists). The Thunder have maintained their position atop the West with their league-best 24-1 start, winning four straight games and eight of their last ten.
