The Minnesota Twins have signed left-hander Taylor Rogers to a one-year, $2 million contract and catcher Victor Caratini to a two-year, $14 million deal. Both veterans, who completed physicals at Target Field, bring experience to positions of need. Rogers returns to the organization where he began his career, while Caratini joins his fifth MLB team.

Rogers, a 35-year-old reliever, posted a 3.15 ERA in his first six seasons with the Twins, earning an All-Star nod in 2021. After stints with five teams in four years, his veteran presence is seen as crucial for a bullpen rebuilt after trading its top five relievers last season. Manager Derek Shelton expects his leadership to be as valuable as his pitching.

Caratini, 32, is a switch-hitter who will back up Ryan Jeffers while contributing at first base and DH. He hit .259 with a career-high 12 home runs for the 2025 Astros. His strong catcher ERA ranks among the best in baseball, offering the Twins a reliable defensive and offensive option behind the plate.
