The Philadelphia Eagles will start Joe Milton against the New York Giants in Week 9, marking their third different quarterback this season. Milton replaces Tanner McKee, who started the last three games. This move comes just days after coach Nick Sirianni said the team was sticking with McKee.
The Eagles (2-6) signed Milton from the Cowboys' practice squad on Oct. 16, one day before placing franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts on injured reserve. Hurts is out indefinitely after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in both lungs. Milton spent last season as Dak Prescott's backup in Dallas.
The Eagles have lost six straight games and sit in last place in the NFC East. McKee completed 63.2% of his passes for 638 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in his three starts.
