Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber is expected to miss Tuesday night's game against the Miami Marlins in Miami due to illness. Phillies manager Don Mattingly confirmed that Schwarber is dealing with a gastrointestinal issue.

Schwarber, who leads the National League with 33 home runs, was not in the starting lineup. "I hope it's a day, but we'll see," Mattingly stated regarding Schwarber's condition. He had a single, a walk, and scored a run in four at-bats during Monday's 8-7 loss to the Marlins.

This absence comes after Schwarber, who is 33 years old, missed three games earlier this season with similar discomfort. He currently holds a .252 batting average with 62 RBI.
