Former Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo retrieved the ball from Michael Busch's first-inning solo homer during Saturday's game against Minnesota at Wrigley Field. Rizzo, who retired from MLB last year, reached behind him to pick up the ball after it landed in the right-field bleachers. He then held it aloft with a young boy on his shoulder.

Rizzo was at Wrigley Field to help dedicate the "Champions Gate," commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Cubs' 2016 World Series victory. He was a key player in that championship season, hitting .292 with 32 homers and 109 RBIs in the regular season, and adding three homers and 10 RBIs in the postseason. The ceremony included owner Tom Ricketts, former manager Joe Maddon, and about 20 players from the championship team, with Maddon and players returning for the game, which featured a ceremonial first pitch by Kyle Hendricks.
