The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired right-handed reliever Seth Halvorsen from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for two minor league players. Halvorsen is nearing activation from the injured list, where he was placed earlier this month due to right shoulder inflammation. He has posted a 4.74 ERA in 21 appearances this season.

Colorado received right-handed pitcher Nick Frasso and outfielder Landyn Vidourek in the trade. Rockies general manager Josh Byrnes, who previously spent over a decade with the Dodgers' front office, orchestrated the deal. Frasso, 27, will join the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate in Albuquerque, while Vidourek will report to Single-A Fresno.

Halvorsen, 26, was drafted by the Rockies in 2023 and has a career record of 3-4 with 13 saves in 75 games. The Rockies are currently 23½ games behind the Dodgers in the NL West.
