The Tampa Bay Rays sent outfielder Josh Lowe to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday as part of a three-team deal. Left-handed reliever Brock Burke moved from the Angels to the Cincinnati Reds, while infielder Gavin Lux went from the Reds to the Rays. The Angels also sent minor league right-hander Chris Clark to Tampa Bay.

Lowe is coming off a career-worst .220 batting average and a season shortened by oblique injuries. He has one year left on his contract. Lux, meanwhile, is a former Dodgers prospect who missed the 2023 season with a torn ACL. He posted a .269 average in his only year with Cincinnati.

Burke provides the Angels with a reliable bullpen arm after a strong 2025 season. The Rays, seeking to retool, acquire a versatile infielder in Lux. This trade reflects the ongoing roster shuffling as teams finalize their lineups before spring training.
