Former Utah signee Salesi Moa is flipping his commitment to Michigan, following head coach Kyle Whittingham's move to Ann Arbor. The ESPN No. 6 wide receiver entered the transfer portal under a 'do not contact' tag earlier this week, just five weeks after signing with the Utes. Moa projects as a potential Day 1 playmaker for Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood.

Whittingham's Dec. 12 exit from Utah, one week after the early signing period closed, proved decisive. Sources indicate staff changes under new Utes coach Morgan Scalley were key drivers behind Moa's decision. The receiver had previously flipped his pledge from Tennessee to Utah in December, signing during the Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu.

Moa becomes the third top-40 recruit in Michigan's 2026 class, joining five-star defensive end Carter Meadows and running back Savion Hiter. His commitment continues a trend of former Utah players following Whittingham to Michigan, including defensive end John Henry Daley and cornerback Smith Snowden. The Wolverines are rebuilding their roster after former coach Sherrone Moore's December firing.
