The final regular-season Associated Press women's basketball Top 25 has been released, with UConn, UCLA, Texas, and South Carolina holding the No. 1 seeds heading into the NCAA tournament. The Huskies secured the overall top seed in the NCAA bracket announced Sunday night. This marks the 17th time since 1982 that the No. 1 team in the final poll has entered March Madness as the championship favorite.

The poll remained largely unchanged from the previous week, with only UConn and Princeton playing among ranked teams. UCLA picked up one additional first-place vote, bringing their total to three from the 31-member national media panel, while UConn received the remaining 28 votes. LSU, Vanderbilt, Iowa, and Duke rounded out the top 10, with all set to host NCAA tournament games this weekend.

The SEC leads conference representation with eight teams in the Top 25, followed by the Big Ten with seven. The Big 12 and ACC each have four teams, while the Ivy League and Big East have one apiece. West Virginia moved up to No. 11, swapping places with Ohio State. The NCAA tournament opens Wednesday with First Four games, setting the stage for the championship run.
