Former Olympic gold medalist Bode Miller faces no legal fallout after prosecutors agreed to drop misdemeanor drug charges. The skier was arrested June 6 in eastern Idaho. Miller’s attorney, Jeromy Stafford, confirmed no drugs were found on his person and that the charges would be dismissed by the court today.

Stafford said he spoke with Fremont County prosecutor Lindsey Blake, who agreed to dismiss all charges. Miller posted on Instagram that he was pulled over after accelerating to pass a vehicle and that a friend carried a small amount of cannabis and a pipe. He claimed full cooperation with the officer during the stop today.

Deputy Jacob Hurt’s probable‑cause statement noted Miller possessed a white dispensary bag holding 4.1 grams of psychedelic mushrooms. No other drugs were reported. The 48‑year‑old, who won six Olympic medals and 33 World Cup races, had last raced in 2015 when a wipeout ended his super‑G hopes. The dismissal clears his record for all fans.

With charges removed, Miller can refocus on his post‑competitive life. The case highlighted how minor infractions can spark media attention for retired athletes. Legal clearance restores his public image and removes potential distractions for sponsors and future endeavors. The decision confirms that evidence alone can overturn initial arrest narratives in the public eye today and here.
