Florida Prosecutors to Subpoena Tiger Woods' Medical Records from DUI Incident

Florida state prosecutors plan to subpoena Tiger Woods' medical records from Cleveland Clinic Martin South Hospital related to his March 27 DUI arrest, according to court documents filed Monday in Martin County. The subpoena, scheduled for June 30, seeks all patient statements about alcohol or chemical substance use, plus complete drug screen results from the hospital visit following his rollover crash.

Woods, 50, faces misdemeanor charges of DUI and refusal to submit to testing after his SUV struck a trailer and rolled onto its side near his Florida home. A deputy discovered two hydrocodone pills in Woods' left pants pocket during the arrest. He has pleaded not guilty to both charges as his legal team prepares to respond to the upcoming subpoena within the next 10 days.

This latest development follows Judge Darren Steele's May 12 ruling granting prosecutors access to Woods' prescription records from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach. Attorney Douglas Duncan previously argued his client has a constitutional privacy interest in these medical records, though the judge sided with the state's request.

Woods recently returned to Florida after spending six weeks at a treatment facility in Switzerland, briefly coming back in May to support girlfriend Vanessa Trump during her breast cancer treatment. The medical record subpoena adds another legal hurdle as his case moves forward.
