Major League Baseball announced Friday that Oracle Park in San Francisco will host the 2028 MLB All-Star Game. This marks the second time the Midsummer Classic will be held at the waterfront ballpark, which previously hosted in 2007. Commissioner Rob Manfred cited San Francisco's "passionate fanbase, world-class ballpark, and rich baseball history" as reasons for selecting the city.

This will be the fourth time the San Francisco Giants organization hosts the All-Star Game since relocating to California, with previous games held at Candlestick Park in 1961 and 1984. Oracle Park joins a select group of active ballparks to host the event multiple times.

Giants president and CEO Larry Baer expressed his honor and gratitude, stating it's a "tremendous opportunity to showcase our organization, our city, and the incredible passion of our fans." He highlighted the event's potential to celebrate the community and welcome visitors globally.
