A statistical correction awarded Caitlin Clark two additional assists from Friday's game against Washington, retroactively giving her 10 assists and making it her 11th career 20-point, 10-assist performance. This broke Courtney Vandersloot's previous record of 10 such games. The unusual path to the milestone came hours before Clark authored another chapter in Indianapolis.

On Sunday, Clark extended her new record to 12 games with 21 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in just 24 minutes during Indiana's 89-78 victory over Seattle. This marked her fourth consecutive game with 20-plus points and five-plus assists, matching the longest such season-opening streak in WNBA history. The Indiana Fever improved to 2-2, never trailing after taking an early lead.

Clark's recent surge comes after a slow shooting start to the season. She credited her teammates for making shots and emphasized trusting her stroke through early struggles. Coach Stephanie White noted Clark's burst and movement patterns have returned following injury-limited action in 2025.

The Fever's defense showed improvement despite allowing 78 points, their second-lowest total this season. Seattle played without key contributors including Ezi Magbegor and Katie Lou Samuelson, while Indiana was without All-Star center Aliyah Boston due to a lower leg injury.
