Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka described his performance in his first season back on the PGA Tour as "pathetic" after failing to make the FedEx Cup playoffs. Koepka finished tied for 68th at the Wyndham Championship, leaving him projected to finish 94th in the standings, well outside the top 70 required for the Fed Ex St. Jude Championship.

Koepka attributed his struggles to putting, noting he lost nearly 2.5 strokes on the greens over 72 holes. Despite ranking eighth on approach, he admitted to having "zero confidence" on the greens and stated he needs to "completely reevaluate everything."

Returning to the tour in January, Koepka had only one top-10 finish in 15 starts. As part of the Returning Member Program, he forfeited player equity shares for five years and is ineligible for the $100 million Fed Ex Cup bonus program. He also agreed to a $5 million donation to charity.

Despite the results, Koepka expressed that his overall happiness is "10 out of 10" regarding the reception of his return.
