Player Injuries and Roster Moves

The Toronto Blue Jays secured a 3-1 victory over the Yankees, but not without incident. Six-time All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. left the game and is being evaluated for a concussion following a collision at third base. In other injury news, Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte exited Arizona's 2-0 win against Atlanta in the first inning with left knee soreness and is considered day-to-day. Pirates third baseman Nick Gonzalez is also day-to-day after taking a pitch to the helmet, resulting in a facial contusion. The Brewers have placed right-handed pitcher Abner Uribe on the 15-day injured list due to a forearm flexor strain.

Positional Changes

The Washington Nationals are set to shift NL All-Star starter CJ Abrams to second base. Manager Blake Butera stated that this move is "the best thing for our team " indicating a strategic adjustment for the club. Abrams, who leads MLB in errors, will transition from his shortstop position.
