MLB Trade Deadline Frenzy

The trade market was active as teams looked to bolster their rosters. The Angels sent outfielder Jo Adell to the Guardians for catching prospect Jacob Cozart. Luis Garcia Jr., who has a .283 batting average with 23 home runs and 76 RBIs, was traded from the Nationals to the Yankees in exchange for four right-handed pitchers. The Mariners acquired outfielder Taylor Ward from the Orioles to add a right-handed bat to their lineup. The Phillies significantly reshaped their infield by acquiring three-time batting champion Luis Arraez from the Giants. In a move to strengthen their bullpen, the Phillies also acquired left-hander Brooks Raley from the Mets for two minor league players. The Blue Jays bolstered their rotation by acquiring right-hander Jose Soriano from the Angels. The Rays acquired Freddy Peralta from the Mets to enhance their rotation for the stretch run. White Sox acquired right-handed reliever Huascar Brazobán from the Mets in exchange for minor league pitchers Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin. The Pirates sought bullpen help by acquiring reliever Camilo Doval from the Yankees. The Braves added outfielder Lane Thomas and minor league left-hander Bailey Falter from the Royals in a four-player trade. The Twins acquired starting pitcher Dean Kremer from the Orioles in a trade. The Guardians acquired relief help and outfield depth from the Brewers, trading for right-handed pitcher Craig Yoho and switch-hitter Blake Perkins.
