NBA Milestones & Player Updates
LeBron James matched Robert Parish's standing record by appearing in his 1,611th career game Thursday, an achievement Parish publicly endorsed, suggesting James is "deserving" of surpassing the mark soon. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers secured a 115-110 road victory over the Bulls, though the win was tempered by the absence of star guard Donovan Mitchell, who sat out due to a bruised left eye. In Brooklyn, the Nets face a significant roster blow as forward Michael Porter Jr. is sidelined for an estimated two to three weeks with a strained left hamstring, potentially missing the remainder of the regular season.
Franchise Honors
The Charlotte Hornets honored franchise legend Dell Curry by retiring his No. 30 jersey during halftime of their contest against the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. Emotional moments followed the ceremony, with Curry reportedly fighting back tears as the organization recognized his contributions.
