Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell will miss Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls due to a bruised left eye. The injury occurred during a practice collision with teammate Evan Mobley. Mitchell played through the discomfort Tuesday in Milwaukee, shooting just 4 of 14 for 19 points while clearly hampered by the vision impairment.

After Tuesday's game, Mitchell acknowledged he "could not really see out of his left eye." Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson confirmed Mitchell experienced blurry vision during the contest. The injury isn't serious like a scratched cornea but requires time to clear. Mitchell is averaging 28.0 points, 5.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds on 48% shooting this season.

The Cavaliers face additional absences as center Jarrett Allen sits out his seventh consecutive game with right knee tendinitis and will also miss Saturday's contest against New Orleans. The team must navigate these injuries without two key contributors during a critical stretch of the regular season.
