Align Capital Partners’ portfolio company Schneider Geospatial announced the acquisition of Connecticut‑based New England GeoSystems. The deal adds the firm’s Map Express solution to Schneider’s Beacon platform, which already serves more than 1,000 local government jurisdictions across 35 states. The purchase marks the eighth add‑on since ACP backed Schneider in June 2022, expanding its govtech footprint in the Northeast. The terms were not disclosed.

Integration will let municipalities tap the combined parcel‑management, permitting and asset‑tracking capabilities without changing vendors. Brian Dooley, managing member of New England GeoSystems, will join Schneider Geospatial alongside the existing NEGEO team, preserving continuity for existing customers. Customers anticipate minimal service disruption. The move deepens Schneider’s SaaS offering and positions it to capture additional contracts as states modernize GIS infrastructure.

The acquisition underscores ACP’s strategy of building a consolidated platform for local‑government technology, leveraging organic growth and bolt‑on purchases. With Beacon already entrenched in dozens of jurisdictions, adding Map Express could accelerate cross‑sell opportunities and improve margins. Investors will watch the next quarter’s revenue report for signs that the integration is boosting Schneider’s top line. Margin expansion will be closely monitored.
