Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, backed by private equity firms Leonard Green and Altas Partners, has acquired AAA Fire Extinguisher Co, a Lubbock, Texas-based provider of fire equipment inspection and servicing. The deal adds to Pye-Barker's footprint in the fire protection, life safety and security services market.

AAA Fire Extinguisher Co specializes in the inspection and servicing of portable fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems, along with kitchen hood system installation and maintenance. The company operates in the Texas market, serving commercial and industrial clients. Pye-Barker now maintains more than 250 locations across the United States following this acquisition.

The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the fragmented fire protection services industry, where private equity-backed platforms are actively pursuing tuck-in acquisitions to expand their geographic reach and service capabilities. Pye-Barker, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, continues to build out its national platform through strategic purchases of regional operators.
